1. Scope
This policy applies only to rootandsign.org. It does not control Discord, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, or any other website or service linked from this site. When you follow an outside link, that service’s own privacy policy applies.
2. Information you choose to provide
The website does not contain an account-registration or signup form. If you email us at info@rootandsign.org, we may receive your name, email address, message, and any information you voluntarily include. We use that information to respond, coordinate community activities, and maintain appropriate records.
3. Technical information
This site is hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub and ordinary internet infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information—such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and requested pages—to deliver and secure the site. Root & Sign does not currently add advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or analytics cookies to this website.
4. Photos and videos
The site may display Root & Sign photographs, videos, interviews, or event memories. Permissions and media-release records are handled separately when appropriate. This Privacy Policy is not a media release and does not itself grant permission to use anyone’s image, voice, or likeness.
5. External community platforms
The site provides links to outside community and social platforms. Root & Sign does not operate those platforms or control their collection of personal information. The Root & Sign Discord community is intended for adults age 18 and older.
6. Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. A parent or legal guardian should contact us if they believe a child has provided personal information by email so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it. Participation by minors in family or public events and any related media permission are handled separately with a parent or legal guardian.
7. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only when reasonably necessary to operate an activity, use a service provider, protect people or the community, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.
8. Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the reason it was collected, legitimate recordkeeping, safety, or legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no email, website, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your choices
You may ask about personal information you directly provided to Root & Sign, or request a correction or deletion, by emailing info@rootandsign.org. We may retain information when reasonably required for legal, safety, recordkeeping, or dispute purposes.
10. Policy changes
We may update this policy if the website or our practices change. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are posted.
