2. Community purpose
Root & Sign is a Deaf-led community project based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The site shares information and directs visitors to independent social and community platforms. Information may be updated as activities and plans change.
3. Respectful and lawful use
You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate Root & Sign, distribute malicious code, or use the site to violate another person’s rights or applicable law.
4. Root & Sign content
The Root & Sign name, logos, artwork, design, writing, photographs, videos, and other original materials are owned by Root & Sign or used with permission and are protected as applicable by copyright, trademark, and other laws. ROOT & SIGN™ and the Root & Sign logo are claimed as trademarks.
You may share links to public pages and unaltered public announcements for community awareness with appropriate credit. You may not copy, sell, falsely claim, substantially alter, or commercially exploit site content without written permission.
5. Photographs, videos, and likenesses
Content showing community members does not give visitors permission to copy, edit, republish, identify, or commercially use another person’s image, voice, or likeness. Recording and publication permissions are handled separately when appropriate. These Terms are not a media release.
6. External links and platforms
The site links to services such as Discord, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch. Those services are separate from rootandsign.org and have their own rules and privacy practices. A link does not make Root & Sign responsible for another platform’s availability, security, content, or actions. The Root & Sign Discord community is intended for adults age 18 and older and has separate community rules.
7. Events and announcements
Event information is provided for convenience and may change. Attendance requirements, venue rules, safety instructions, releases, waivers, or registration terms may be provided separately for a particular event. Visitors should confirm current details before attending.
8. No purchases or accounts
Rootandsign.org is not an online store and does not create user accounts or process purchases. Any activity a visitor chooses to conduct after leaving this website is governed by the terms and policies presented by the relevant outside service and by any separate agreement with the applicable person or organization.
9. Website availability and information
The site and its information are provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep information useful and accurate, but we do not guarantee that every page, link, announcement, or outside service will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Root & Sign is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the website or an outside platform linked from it. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
